Transcendental Sonnet #1455:
Us in Solidarity

In wandering out walking
Listening to the chatter
I overhear us talking
Wondering if we matter

But listening I can hear
Then more clearly when I see
If nearsighted far and near
Us in solidarity

Who matter to us by our
Being in the company
Of each other at this hour
Of our moment now to be

Together if out of fear
Or in love if you ask me
