Big dogs who sniff each other's butts
Do not mind that I am nuts
For all they know I might be right
Gently gone to my good night
Though quite out of my mind daresay
Mind they find me kind my way
The kind of cat that they might be
Rightly now how to be me
I trust someone must so I do
Or die and here I am for
The pack to be just one dog more
Three dog nights instead of two
Through crazy days with big dogs who
Sniff each other's butts and my
Own for unknown reasons then when
Here I am in Rome again
When friends know I can ill afford
Anything anymore so
Here then by love now at their word
I will be me but more so
When not at home but when in Rome
We who do the best we can
One who is nuts two who sniff butts
Two big dogs and one small man
Three of us under the dog star
Of an unfamiliar sky
Who wonder having come this far
But know how when in Rome now
Together interspecially
Nice to know us anyway
Alla famiglia as we say
Bowser Marisol and me
