After dusk before dawn rises
Gold sometimes the old surprises
The new with deep blue depression
In an unwelcome digression
An end we go through to begin
Who only fall to rise again
A cold regret to not forget
Though not remember no not yet
Under the tarnished silver stars
The dusty moon and rusty mars
We wonder but we understand
Falling stars should not look down and
Other such practicalities
For falling stars though falling slow
Enough to ask if not to know
Nor miss the opportunities
Of these downward trajectories
Up to the task as we unmask
Unwrap ourselves from vanities
That trap the stars that never fall
Now is forever after all
From dusk to dawn how life goes on
