Steven Curtis Lance sporting a worrisome cough
Does not worry because he is mentally off
Or so his Grandma used to say another day

Though he is on the money honey mentally
He is about as off no doubt as he can be
On this he and his mind though of two minds agree

But as for the rest of him the best of him gone
He coughs though does not worry though off he goes on
Does not mind because what for matters now no more

And this is it he knows for as far as it goes
So because there is no hurry does not worry
Nor mind today what never mattered anyway

Today though he is coughing less worrisomely
So off this matter of his mind goes on its way

Jubilant even though on the topic of unwellness. Your writing is elating to me; and much of that because it is like reading the watching of someone making a cat's cradle with string....the kind where you hook your finger here and there and when you dip your hands, it all falls away into one clear loop again. That's how your poetry feels to me and I love it. Favorite line here is: "Nor mind today what never mattered anyway." Pure bliss. ~~ Diana

This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given day.
