The fear of change can make people strange
Fear of the other unmet brother
Fear of the future clings to the past
Bringing the fear of each other at last

But just because I am not like you
In what I believe and what I do
Does not mean either is lesser than
We are all human and do what we can

I propose that we not be afraid
Anymore seeing the price we paid
I propose that we try love awhile
Forget fear now remember how to smile

Because down inside we are the same
All of our candles burn as one flame
We are the ones we wanted to be
And now here we are as us you and me

The fear of change can make people strange
But I am your other unmet brother

Wonderfully expressed! Yes, we are all different and are at various stages in life. Some would not dream of living alone, others cherish the single life. Some love God and could not live without the Lord. Others want all symbols of faith removed from the face of the earth. That's too extreme for my blood. The Beatles said it right, "Let it be" as we are all seeking answers in this life. Someday I believe we will find them even if it's on the other side. Amen
