I

Suddenly now September
Almost to October
Thinking how it was over
Suddenly you remember

Still August until now when
September remembered how then
Again September knows us
Before October shows us

II

Silent lightning in the desert far away
In another valley over there
Too far away for thunder anyway
Lighting up the clouds between us from within
Looks like fireworks across the black sky when I
Look out my window then hear the wind sigh
Like a change is coming in the air
And I wonder when the thunder will begin

III

Marisol insists to be
On my bed here next to me
She is big and long and wide
So I say "stay on your side"
But she stays there doggedly

Bowser lies down on the floor
Marisol did but no more
Now up on the bed instead
Stubbornly immovably
On my bed here next to me

IV

The middle of the night and the wind is sighing
Someone is being born someone is dying
The stars seem cold as ice though distant suns

Someone is laughing now someone is crying
Someone sighing like the wind somehow keeps trying
And we are the ones we are the someones

In the sighing of the wind I hear life say
"This is it someones: here comes your someday"
