Fascism comes to a country through fear
As some of us see when it comes like here
"Wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross"
But fearful jubilation feels like loss

Not feeling afraid I could feel left out
As out-of-style where fear is in the air

Doubling down dumb is becoming the style
But I feel too polite to fight and shout
Like some of the fearfully dumb here who
Want the end of the world to come (for some)

Having been saved not by faith but my doubt
About being afraid to be and do

To do and be out-of-style with a smile
Like Voltaire and a certain savoir faire
The fearful have won but still I insist
Until the dumb wise up I will resist

The fearful have chosen but I have made
My choice too: I will not be made afraid

You really got to the point with this one. There's a sense of fear in the air that is fostering fascism like it did in the 1930s. Only these folks are deaf and dumb to history and are only repeating what their forefathers did in the face of unnatural fear.
