For Bowser to sleep is to bask
Sometimes opening one eye to ask
If watchdoggery needs doing
Or if one of his bones needs chewing
Marisol is the dog who ate
It all where she likes to ruminate
There by the food bowl not too far
Leaving entree to buffet ajar
Hi-Desert hounds who eat and sleep
And do their dogly duty to keep
Me safe then when it all depends
On the watchdoggery of my friends
And had I any enemies
They would not have long with friends like these
Am glad not to but I know who
My friends are somehow and now you do
Hi-Desert hounds who keep an eye
On me as I live until I die
Until then keep me company
Duly doing their watchdoggery
Watching as the dogs watch me I
See now love is how and why
