Poem Artwork

Lightning through a cloud
Thunder far away
Though soft here so loud
Somewhere anyway

Somehow sounding proud
How I hear it here
So dark now though bright
Images appear

Lucifer the light
Bearer tears the sky
Where the velvet blue
Wears the scar tonight

Now to fall how I
Recall as I do
As who wonder why
But understand too

In the desert, lightning and thunder should be welcomed as possible rain. To think of them as Lucifer is a strange assumption when lightning fixes nitrogen in the air and makes it possible for desert plants to grow and bloom.

"Somehow sounding proud".......I'm sure. Yet, this line knocked me out: "Wears the scar tonight"!!

Love ya!

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
