On the Other Side On the other side always now Is the way it is always how I believe we may timelessly Be rearranged to be someday Out of time but in time to see For ever after all begin Where it is always now again Strange at first but a change at last For the better having been worse At a time along about when To be out of time is timely Making it easy to decide To not have to think of the past Unless you want to forget it Not having to leave or to stay But to be and not regret it To be gets to be hauntingly When you know they go and yet it Goes on for those gone over where They go but do not go away In parallel reality What may be over over here May not be over over there But I have got nothing to fear Of what may come so I let it Understanding them I wonder Sometimes in the sound of thunder If spirits come around to say They found they are always now in The wonders of the universe My mother or another one Of many in my family Any free spirits being free Here we are now though we have been Is how it always sounds to me From one side to the other on The one they go not to be gone But from there to be everywhere A present possibility To look forward to in a way Always now on the other side Maybe or maybe not maybe Something to get when I get it Though here on this side no one knows For now what comes or how it goes Something to pray for when I pray May it be eventually No hurry about it today I no longer worry about Us being now to always be I may be about to find out On the other side anyway Steven Curtis Lance
