Turning 64 I forget to drink my coffee Until it gets cold Then is when I think I can see I am getting old But better this than being dead Getting old instead Still being here for now somehow Only God knows how Older now than ever before Oddly at the end Simplicity agrees with me Simpler than regret Now in the end how I transcend Whether I forget Or not I get that this is it I remember now On New Year's Eve how I will be Turning 64 And learning how to finally Being more and more Steven Curtis Lance

"Will you still need me? Will you ........?" Here I am thinking, 'I wish I was 64 again!'. Your writing is great and has gotten more refined, I think, although I'm far from an expert as one can get. Write on!

You could have, "lived fast and died young," but that is now past. Time for wisdom to set in.

We only have one life to live, so let's see how we will be when we get old. Don't fret about it. Some others didn't even have the privilege to get old. Count your blessings.
