Make it Happen

I was taught I was not

To let daylight in on magic

And I thought so too but

This turned out to be a tragic

Waste of my reason then

Not to be myself but to be

Untrue to what I knew

That where I let the daylight in

Was nothing there to see

The magic closet of the past

Turned out to be empty

My season of unreason passed

Into the light of day

The only magic was in me

To find in my own way

Alone to find my own way through

My mind was free at last

So I forgot what I was taught

But I remembered who

The magic was because I got

A clue of what to do

As the one to make it happen

If it ever was to
