One Spring More To Be Thankful For The moon was a big surprising pumpkin Rising behind the Joshua tree My favorite one out the kitchen door Bringing me spring from the outside in Out there to bring about spring within me Again after all for one spring more Anyway after so many have gone For being here and for going on At maybe a time for new memories In time to remember spring again Knowing better how to forget before Going on now after what was then For what is because of what had to be For the surprise of moments like these For moons that rise behind Joshua trees And one spring more to be thankful for Steven Curtis Lance
