Hot Full speed proceeding heedlessly The leaders are insulting Calling us all appalling names Playing small-minded mind games Creating negativity Thus needlessly resulting In uncivil society In the incivility Of this dystopia we see Mad at the power-maddened Disempowered and sad we get Quiet trying to forget We thought they would know better when We should have known better then On unreality TV They believe in cruelty Who leave us their worst to regret Incredulous then saddened In the incivility of Those who have forgotten love When it has never been this hot We wonder if this is it Under an unforgiving sky Hoping then but not a lot We find us left behind us by All the immaturity Of after all the elderly I got old but I outgrew What they will not so I go on Like the hard way taught me to Here to stay until they are gone Then to see what we can do Hot getting hotter than ever But better late than never Intergenerationally Doing what we can to be Steven Curtis Lance
