Mom Was Right for Patricia Lee Dawn Lance I thought she was too positive And possibly naive Too willing to live and let live About what to believe Lucky for me quick to forgive Because my Mom was right And I was badly mistaken She had shown me the light Though I was slow to awaken It took awhile to see Through my oddly Godforsaken Hollow theology Trying to be what I was not And lying to my soul By denying what she had taught Me about being free For doubtful systems of control My soul knew better but Though I would have to be shaken She had known how to be Like life the riddle Mom goes on Is not gone though she went But then her middle name was Dawn Now I know what that meant When she was proven right again And again about Love I would find out the hard way then What she had spoken of Unbroken awoken in me Steven Curtis Lance

Wow! A poetic song about mom from your heart. Mom's are usually so right and just like healthy medicine, their wisdom is very good for us. Nice!

She was beautiful and looks so happy in the photograph. Reminds me of my young mother about the same time. Mothers can do no wrong.
