Love Insisting Love gone wrong gets twisted Turns itself to hate No longer resisted Waiting at the gate The cold fire enlisted To turn love away Can burn out of control Nothing personal Just business he said From his arsenal But now that man is dead Ironically And here I am instead I learned the hard way How a vendetta can Put holes in the soul Of an embittered man Twisting destiny The twisted insisted That hate was my fate That inevitably Blood would have its say That someday I would see It was family But having persisted I love anyway Love says never too late Whatever may be So my soul remains whole That was always free I appreciate Love insisting on me Steven Curtis Lance

It is interesting how love and hate, while opposite, are so closely intertwined when it comes to relationships. Interesting to contemplate.
