The Hard Part The reason is easy to see When you have been unreasonably Being myself a mad old man If it takes one to know one I do Seeing one being one who can See through what we have been going through Knowing that what it is behind This madness we go through every day Is madness itself now I know Seeing someone going where I went A thousand days of this has meant Someone else has gone out of his mind Having done so is how I know Someone else had to learn the hard way The limits of reality Getting real for him and me today And everyone on earth somehow The hard part is getting through this now Steven Curtis Lance

I like your personal take within the poem, Steven. We all must travel different roads, but really those roads seem very much the same.
