Having seen a lot now I am one who sees
Within the Zen of the Joshua trees
Their stubbornness and their fragility
Something worth seeing that makes it worth being
For me of persistent resistance to
Any interference in what they do
They want to go on going and me to know
They know we go on going even though
It probably will be improbably
As many individuals agreeing
To bend the wind and transcend the seasons
I look for hope and they give me reasons
Having been a lot somehow I am seeing
Reasons to be like a Joshua tree
Hope through the seasons for them and for me
