When Why Not is Why When I wonder what the hell Existentially Then two dogs who know me well Explain it to me Rising to the occasion Quite surprisingly Poking with their snouts until They are satisfied That I know they have my back Snouts from either side Poke positive persuasion When they sniff despair In the air then they attack With absurdity Snouts out for me everywhere Strangely they can see How to rearrange the scene Change the equation Bearing with me what I bear Until it is gone When they see that I agree To see what they mean Then two dogs and I go on But they keep an eye And a snout on their old guy In the in between Bowser me and Marisol In a pack of three Through the up and down of me With me through it all They know and show they love me When why not is why Steven Curtis Lance Photo: I lost my hair but I still have Marisol and Bowser
