Inspecting for an infection
Hosing down a ghost town
Expecting enforced reflection
For now to wait somehow
Looking out at fate looking in
When out there is too far
Going without to go within
Through fear to here we are
Knowing the explanation when
The Dow falls like a star
Like Icarus rising but then
What does that matter now?
Expecting the next election
In limbo from afar
Life being surprising again
Becoming like it does
Tomorrow never comes the way
We think but it may come
If not the way yesterday was
The way we overcome
Someday for now not knowing how
But going on because
