DNA I hope to meet my granddaughter one day And wonder about her now and then But she may understand me anyway Mad as I am as I had to be Someday when she may wonder about me May she be glad then that I have been And smile at our family history Together whether or not we met When she may start to write poetry and Not apart by heart I understand If from across the sea one day then may She understand what I tried to say Across the mystery of family On one side or the other of it May I somewhere there in her DNA Be someone not to forget not yet May it be better for her then because Somehow or another now I was Steven Curtis Lance�
