One small step...

Untitled

As like the life I’m living…untitled…lost…without a name

Days flow one to the next with only the distinction of light and dark, cold or warm

A restless mind keeps the sleep away

Emotions that twist and turn without escape, as like a buoy anchored in a churning sea…

No release in sight

Welded in place by self doubt

A heart that is broken in a million fragile pieces…

But continues beating

Words are lost to me…my mind can not surround them

The simplest of sentences go unspoken

The feelings within are trapped...churning and building behind a great wall

Fear is the one word that punctuates my being…

Leaving me frozen in time

Severed is the connection from my mind to the pen for so long now that it’s a battle of wills to bring forth written word of the storm that brews inside

This effort leaves me drained…but the need to let go is so powerful

I’m on a journey without a destination

In a vehicle which I can not steer

A windshield blurred and blackened

Only a mirror remains to show from where I came

Into this day I stumble and will probably fall…over and over

My only option is to keep going forward…blindly

With the hope that the shadows that surround me will lift

So that I might glimpse the dawn.

My only option is to keep going forward... bindly.

Even to go nowhere it to go somewhere, when we arrive we will recognize where we are.

Oh Dee, what stunning writing!
Sorry I have not written in long time.
I have been quite ill.
You are a brilliant post and the veil shall lift,
we have all been there in some way or another.
As for your poem - BRAVA!
Love,
Becca

Expressions from the depths of your heart needs no editing. This is so real, emotional and heart felt. You are a very deep writer and continue to write about the deepness and the realness of this life. Whether good or bad it is an experience that we all need to hear for i relate to your work in more ways than one.
