Eleven Twenty Seven

Endurance of immeasurable pain
Living as though dead
Exploitation of innocence’s
Victimized with cruelty
Endless days of hate
Never seeing a way out

Treacherous path of betrayal
Winding tales of deception
Erosion of once faithful trust
Naivety long ago lost
Trepidation a constant state
Yearning for some release

Spirits struggling for life
Engulfed in tragedy
Visceral acts to break free
Envisioning a better life
Not ever looking back.

the devils deck of cards.

An expunging of poison, wracking and reaving and rampaging, but then

Spirits struggling for life
Engulfed in tragedy
Visceral acts to break free
Envisioning a better life
Not ever looking back.

Not ever looking back...

Almost hurt to read this piece, Dee...

I turned fifty four on 11/27 so I know what you mean, except I glad God let me see it.
