The Truth About Love

Love-a simple word

So over-used,

So misunderstood.

Soothing fears and

bringing tears.

Much bigger than

Our personal imagination;

The creative drive

Of the whole universe.

Defining everything.

The only thing that doesn’t

Have its equal reflection,

Or an opposite.

It can’t be divided,

Because it just is.

The truth about love

Is what it is.

It’s God’s imagination

As a gift to us

To use as we wish.

It’s my wish,

That the love I imagine

From writing this poem,

Is a gift I can give

For others to live.
