Living Love

Living is growing

Through a river of loving—

Nurturing the soul,

By opening the heart

To both sides of the mind;

Seeking the mystery

Beyond what we find.

But this unknown destiny

Leads to unrest and pain,

Until these waring things

Finally take their course

To re-unite the mind—

A restless driving force

That can’t settle down.

From personal self love

That leads to emptiness

And painful separation;

To perennial selfless love

That leads to completeness

And  a comfort of belonging—

Peace and excitement all in one.

One is not the point

They both belong,

To the single thing

That is the point—

Letting love have its way

With our head, heart and soul;

Learning to love all three.
