What Your Soul Wants

Want real happiness,

Success and peace?

Pay closer attention

To the subtle wants of

Not your mind or heart,

But those of your soul.

What does your soul want?

Anything and everything—

To know and be known.

To create spectacular sunsets

And to simply watch them.

To write complex books

And to speak one clear word.

To love the lovable

And ignore the ignorant.

To work and play;

To hide and seek,

To sing and dance noisily,

And to just sit silently.

To join and separate,

To think and feel,

To do and be.

Why it is so hard

To hear the soul?

Maybe it’s not a single being

But all and everything?

This and that,

Me and you.

Now and then

All over again.

Shhh—slow down

And listen;

You will hear your soul.
