Elevated One

by Elisabeth Barstowe — Read all 441 poems by Elisabeth Barstowe

Thursday, July 1, 2010

 Let me sink into darkness,
take me with you angel of death.

Is that who you think I am?
Have you forgotten where you came from?

But who are you then?
Who am I?

Look around you, what do you see?

I see threads shooting through the air,
like a web connecting you and me.

How much further do they reach?

They reach everywhere,
they share, they feel, they see,
shooting through you and me.

Do you remember now?

No I can't! What is this strange color of you,
like a million fireflies dancing?
Pins and needles of dark and light
in perpetual harmonious flight.

Remember, remember, Elevated one,
until you do you can't come home.

Interconnectedness. Harmony. Light. Good words of tantalizing truth.

Peace,
Dayvid
