Oceans go on forever, light fades into darkness.

Lost at sea, no feeling now...only still and

silent skies.

Blue becomes gray, clarity becomes mists,

that form uneasy and meaningless patterns.

Waves no longer sway my vessel.

I can barely hear them now.

Is that a ship ahead? It is a faint shadow,

that I cannot make out.

And I don’t care. Phantoms have crossed

my path many, many times.

The journey has become too unpredictable,

too arduous.

Time has run out, too late for my rescue.

Let others sail these waters, for I am drifting

into night.

Using your metaphor of being lost at sea you have strongly and poignantly shown the nature of this emotional experience that you may or may not be having. Good work.

Many will relate to the theme (also the emotions) expressed through your verses here, Cela. I know I do. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis

This is a poem about depression. I hope you will find an island soon.
