When cries for help go unheard,
The once warm and caring heart
Turns cold and unfeeling.
Angry words destroy feelings once shared,
Over time, feelings vanish
Hurtful words are all that remain.
Choose words wisely,
Angry words are honest words,
Meant to hurt and how deeply they do.
Tears flow freely, alone is all you desire
Nagging "what’s wrong" over and over
If you knew the feelings would disappear.
The world backs you against a wall
No fight left to abate it, mind in a fog,
Confused, no direction and no ambition.
Hopefully, it will pass,
determination gone and love nonexistent
Has it taken its toll? Life … is it really worth it?
