Etched in my heart forever

Fire still burning strong

Sorrow and pain

Still I sustain

For our heroes who died that day

The streets still wide open

with craters of fallen debrie

Still found are broken pieces

on roof tops.. .under stairwells... hidden in dust

that no one till now has seen

So much time has been spent

searching and wondering how so

many lost their identity..

The streets of Ground Zero will they ever

be fixed..emotions of a loss so huge

The presence of their Spirits so much alive

No matter the enormous refuse
Some thought that is was meaningless garbage

So they buried loved ones in dumps

Someone had the decentcy to dig them up

yet so many lay in clumps

time has not changed the feelings

of loss and grief still real

though time has passed I dont think

from this devastion will I heal

Still the numbers are higher

in deaths that have been increased

Our Soldiers still there fighting

many are deceased

So that Terrorism could come to an End

Let the World live in Peace...Amen
