They found it high in the mountains,
broken windows, overgrown with
verdant, rampant vines;
They broke through the gates,
gazing in awe.
From everywhere they came,
wondering at its origin,
marveling in its peace.
Who built this place?
Where did they go?
Questions unanswered,
as yet--
High in the corners,
in deep shadow,
the others grew,
drawn from the minds of those
who came to ponder:
the dreams,
the nightmares, the
hopes and fears,
the pain,
the joy, the
laughter and tears;
the blooms, awaiting
the dawn of awakening.
A touching, loving and spirtual insight of the dying process, filled with peace, smiles and starting on their journey, taking me with them as far as I could go, returning back with something I didn't have before. Will be out early in 2010..on Kindle

and make us want to journey with you. -gene.
Abandoned castle of dreams so sadly portrayed and yes, makes nature weep. Beautiful.
