The loss of a loved one leaves a void, into which every negative thought creeps.

*Have you ever stood* *on the edge of no never* *making decisions* *that will last forever,* *feeling you cannot* *grab a hold of a line* *you have to let go* *you can only say goodbye.* *Time will heal* *some mean well to say* *yet there inside* *you know its not that way,* *time is just time* *waiting till when* *maybe you will never* *ever walk this way again.* *Goodbye my friend* *farewell* *so pleased we knew each other* *so well,* *I am sorry God* *I feel bitter towards you* *give me time* *help me through.*

I was going to write that I found healing in this, but perhaps I should just say...I felt things get easier.

The ending lines got me - wonder, though, does it get easier? Lost my Daddy in May of last year, and it's been so hard. Sitting here last night, thinking of my Daddy, tears running down my face - still on the edge of tears - I miss him so much. Powerfully penned, John.
