A Lion at heart

though a Cat in fact

yet Arthur was sure

he had more than just that,

so he decided to look at his heredity

take a look

in his ancestral tree.

Now in his wisdom

if we should call it that

the ancestral tree he had in mind

was the one at the back.

'What are you up to?'

asked Felix his friend

the Cat from number ten,

'Going to look up my ancestral tree.'

Arthur replied

with a proud twinkle in one eye.

'Can I join you?'

Felix enquired

so the two of them started to climb.

Higher and higher

the two of them climb

though Felix was someway behind.

'What have you found?'

Felix called out,

as Arthur right at the top

was swaying about.

'I think I'm stuck.'

a nervous Arthur replied

as the top of the tree

moved to the left and the right.

Then with a bump

and a large miaow

poor Arthur fell to the ground.

'Well maybe one day

I will try again,'

Arthur retorted as he rubbed his bum,

'but for the moment

I'll head back home.'
