A clock can be a Metronome

There is a clock in the hall that ticks and tocks at night it sounds so loud it almost rocks. Has a pitch has a pace helps me think out of my box. Like a Metronome it weaves through my head leading my thinking through a word web, poetic licence scrabble maybe disjointed thinking that clock drives me.
