It is hard to see the good in the world, because the good often struggles under the banner of charity, while the harsh truth is reality.

Poem Artwork

Sighing within

about the without

recalling the times

when there was nowt.

How times have changed

so much recycled waste

boardering on

a total disgrace.

Food thrown away

while many go hungry

plastic by-products

disgracing our oceans,

seems to be

we care about no one

even ourselves

we behave like morans,

live in denial

about our mental state

so bend the rules

to accomadate.

Where does it lead

where does it end

a brick wall with a sign

'The End',

they cannot see

beyond the wall

what others achieved

with Kith & Kin,

created a paradise

with no effort at all

by Love they have transformed

the Earth beyond the wall.

And Trump wants to keep our so-called paradise safe from intruders by building his brick wall. That's what we don't need: more walls.

Poets and prophets go hand in hand. You are predicting the foulness inner nature that seems to want to doom us with our own passive neglect. It behooves us all to try to come up with positive ways of solving very complex problems, each one of us, by educating others.

It can be done, through poetry like yours.

we all have to meditate to see the whole picture which is described in this piece. Too much actions and no positive results because of lack of 'the passive' meditation. Cheers, alex

It's hard to think that world is good by listening to the media on TV.

But getting down to earth with neighbors we CAN change OUR little world.

One charitable gift of kindness-at-a-time...

Amen
