in praise of a silent friend.

Poem Artwork

I know it is there

sometimes I feel it

a precence that is a friend,

yet although we have met

many times

in fact never left apart

never graced a face.

They give me hope

life too my being

in the bleakest places

they are there

everywhere.

Oh you know who I talk about

perhaps you have

never thought of them

as being about,

quite extraordinary

almost fairytale

for some intelligent beings

say they live in the Cinderella Zone.

For me here is reassuring

for my friend Air gives life

to all without exception,

despite we thrust into its face

obnoxious fumes

methanic waste,

thank Air

for being there

aiding me and so many more

to live our lives

though we moan,

even if we live in

the Cinderella Zone.

Terrorforming Your Environment by RickthePoetWarrior

Never to leave well enough alone our attempts at managing our society, culture, and environment are recycled, re-used, and just generally regurgitated
