Be overcomers of the world
Thru the storm the tempest may blow, thru the night, the pilot might roam. To the wind caps of the night, to the subtle sigh, to perish in the waves is not the fight. The compassion lies ahead for to survive, the hurricane winds, the blistering seams. The bow bursting with water, the keel to light, the engines thrust foreward thru the dreadful night. The loved ones are there to await in dismay, to come home or not, our fate is still there.

This brings vivid images of the movie The Perfect Storm and a special on storms at sea on cable TV.
You describe it perfectly!

This definitely captures my attention. I like the vivid imagery that expresses facing the obstacles of life. For you this is different stylistic ... glad to see you pushing the envelope and improving as a writer. A mispelt word in this line: to the suttle sigh: You want subtle I think.
