Sometimes a prayer will do.
The possible alternatives: most times a prayer
will do, never a prayer will do, always a prayer
will do. Of these four possibiliies what is the
unrefutable truth regarding the frequecy or lack
of frequecy regarding prayer being suffiient.

Soon after I heard the song, "Sometimes a
Prayer Will Do" by Secret Garden" I pondered
the matter of just how often are my prayers
answered in keeing with my requests?
 
Like me, you have probably heard people say
"God answers all prayers: Sometimes He says
"Yes," sometimes He says "Wait" and sometimes
He says "No."

My own expeiences with prayers have been, as
the song says, "sometimes a prayer will do."
Other times my prayers did not do, i.e., they did
not produce what I obviously had requested from
God. And it was not a  matter of  God  saying
"Wait" or "No." It was more like God ignored
my prayers. But even if  He did not, at such times,
ignore my prayers, what was undeniabley true is:
my prayers did not do, i.e., they were not sufficient.

To repeat, based on my own experiences, I agree
with the truth expressed in this song, "sometimes a
prayer will do." Not all the times. Maybe "most of
the times," but I am not sure. I feel more comfortable
in saying "sometimes a prayer will do."

What then is the implication regarding prayer for
me? There is only one, keep praying, because
"sometimes a prayer will do."
