Forever broken, I try to grasp an understanding,
my heart bleeds, as my eyes swell with tears,
I beg for mercy at the break of day,
only to swallow a darkened morning,
Though the sun beats down to shine light,
I am shadowed with what could of been,
I am broken now, by death of a child,
so very young,
Torn between the sadness I feel,
and the laughter I once had,
Tears seem endless .....
I am that of a empty river, that once flowed
majestically through passing days,
I have not found a way to rest, though I am tired,
I stand before a grave .... rose petals fall,
as I shed more tears,
I am broken, cracked,
between two worlds,
I kneel and pray,
seeking to understand his promise,
I seek refuge, to mend my heart,
I am forever broken as I pray,
Someday ..... I will find an answer,
for now ..... I am .... a heart that bleeds,
for a child ..... at rest!
Dedicated to my brother Jerry, who died one month after he was born, to my nephew D.J. Pearson, the one who touch so many, and was born an angel, born May 16, 1994 - died July 1, 1994, and to Ailie Anna Pearson, May 15, 1984 - March 2, 2001, my tears still cry though no-one sees,
my sympathies to you on the losses of your brother, nephew, and ailie. powerful poem; children deserve to live, not die so young! it doesn't seem fair when a little one just starting out in life dies; it doesn't make any sense!!
A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
