Faced with many challenges teenagers put your skills to the test after putting dents and scratches to your car.

A little skit I thought you might enjoy.
Here are the characters :
Dad / Me
Laurie / Daughter
Julie / Mom

Laurie:   Dad, can I borrow the car?
Dad :     Where are you off to?
Laurie :  I'm picking up Cathy and we're headed to the mall.
Dad :     Yeah! I suppose so.

Dad :     Here's ten bucks, put some gas in the car.
By the way, do me a favor, mom asked me
to pick up the dry cleaning and get her
prescription refill. Be a sweetheart and run
             the errands for me.

Fifteen minutes pass as I hear her talking to someone on
the telephone while getting ready for her shopping trip.

Brriinnnnggggg!! She answers the phone. After a 30 second conversation.

Laurie :  Dad, I won't need the car after all.
Dad :     Oh?
Laurie :  Cathy is using her mother's car.
Thanks anyway. Sorry I won't be able
to run the errands for you.

Her friend arrives and they leave.

Mom had been in the basement doing laundry. She comes
upstairs, sits beside me, kisses my cheek and says,

Julie :    " Honey, thanks for picking up the dry
              cleaning and my prescription yesterday."

Oh, I love it. It gets scary, our memory, our kids growing up, but that's life. Well done, Paul!

:) Wonderful, Paul! I saw my 12 yr. old backing the truck into the driveway, and almost flipped out! Her father's been 'teaching' her on the sly...she can't wait for her license! I can!
