Mares Tails Sweeping

Poem Artwork

Mares tails! Sweep me with thundering dreams, hue
I retain, sereneness flows from above.
You arch silken pride as you hide from view,
So few, these moments filled with inner love.

Invisible cloud herd gallops with glee
Into fallow blue; help carry me through
Travails of captured life. Set spirit free,
Explore with me corral's breadth in review.

Mares tails? Your whickering laughs in boundless
Pastured skies, heard down low, rejects my due,
Ethereal, you elude grasp, groundless,
I collapse, and stricken, miss my debut...

Ardent air cools and shivers; cloud wisps, sped.
Behind -- I am left, denuded and shed.

How in the world did I miss this one? This is GORGEOUS in illustration and verse - my favorite line is the opening one - it leads the reader into a beautiful place. My new favorite of yours - WOW. Jealous: wish I'd written it. Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Salutations to all that these letters may read,

May this be a healthy day to all of You!
=========================================

"Mare’s Tails Sweeping" delivers all that is a poetic must. The imagery, a mingling of symbolistical and surreal, is one of the most original. Its uniqueness is supported by the sequence on the subject dealt entwined the pictures as the Poet depicts the Image of Nature's magnificence with the grandiloquence of her lexicon. (One of the most original and universal of today's literary fraternity.) On the ninth line she uses golden ink to conclude the imagery's body, and on the closing lines she completes the most outstanding ENGLISH SONNET that I read in the last three years.

“Mare”, as a noun was used to depict the DARK part of the Picture, and as an “Equidae” to mingle the surreal with the symbolistical images.

I wish more students would come to our community AD, inclusive those students completing their Doctorate, “Litt.D.”

I am proud to stand before Your Sublimity, Poet Erin Moen, show my blissful Reverence, and say, Sublime Poet Erin Moen, I thank You for showing the world how the Greatness of America Shines!

It is 5:20 EST. Before Eos leaves, I etch on the doors of the Sun,

My gratitude, and reverent admiration to Poet Erin Moen.
