Shhh…quiet!
They’ll hear you!
And find me…
Find me hiding
on the side of the house,
already.
Another summer’s started
for a slanted mother.
Pathetic? Oh, yeah.
I know that because
I know myself. Oh, look!
A huge blue swallowtail
is flapping and gliding
around my backyard! … Sorry.
I become distracted
with my passion, observation.
From the outside. Tragic?
Yes, and no. I give in full
when I give. Giving is hard
for me, with no good reason,
it just is. It is not innate
in human beings, but
it is lauded. So, I hide
from eyes that could condemn
me. Another summer looms
for a slanted mother.
Who’s light is bending…

more than you think. My feeling is, it is
as natural to you as breathing. Thanks, Erin!

For some reasons, it one hits me as a joke. Is it? Sorry if I'm mistaken.
