The jet’s scribing contrail
Streaks a pen stroke of vivid white
Onto the clear fragility of blue-autumn sky.
It mutates quickly into a magic spell
of convoluted, vanishing glyphs.
I couldn’t decipher the words,
Only the meaning.
It was spelling ‘freedom’,
in disappearing ink.
