Late-night fly buzzing
My computer screen, my
Small area of being,
My computer desk,
Cannot be swatted!
It flies lazily,
Crazily, without a device
Of flight plan
I can ascertain!
Damn, I’m shamed!
It disappears
Until my fingers near
My keyboard dear,
Then swoops in
To make its presence known!
Damn this fly, I want to
Kill its hide, disregarding
All I know of Nature.
Is it Me, can’t you see…
Flies come and go.
Damn this fly! Now, I can’t
Kill its hide, it’s part
Of the solution…

I hear you (and the fly). What drives me craziest is when they buzz around your ears at night *shudder* I beat myself stupid trying to knock it off (and out). LOL
Enjoyed this one--as I do all of your writes.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
As a metaphor, the fly could represent a doorway that you will have to pass through soon to reach another level and season.
I find that taking excursions outside of myself regularly are quite efficacious to the general well-being of spirit and soul. Never know what gems of wisdom one may find in the objectivesphere.
