My Shadow, My Reflection, and Me

Shadows I’ve welcomed,
Reflections, mirror-reflected,
I’ve abhorred. Who is what,
Anymore?
I’ve dealt with shadows,
I’ve kissed their lips,
Kissing mine. I’ve always felt
Shadows behind my
Unreachable reflection.
And, then, as always,
There is me, weirded
By life and studied acrimony,
By gained book-lore,
Finessed by 3-channel
Television, National Geographic,
Disney and Government,
For the ‘good’ of the Nation.
I don’t envy any job
That involves politics, because,
There’s nothing more lonely there than
Me, except, them. My self is self-deluding,
Theirs are self-wishing, having
To abstain from a personal awareness
Because of ‘world-divisions’. I guess
That would be one of my
Reflected shadows
That ever-haunts me…
In a more positive sense… Look!
I am a Trinity! Unto myself!
By myself…
How comforting
Is that?
