I didn’t see
Any flowers
When I came to visit,
I didn’t see any lilies.
I didn’t see
Any flowers
When I was riveted,
I didn’t see any roses.
I didn’t see
Any flowers
When I became visaged,
I didn’t see any violets.
I didn’t see
Any flowers
When I was ravaged,
I didn’t see any iris.
I didn’t see
Any flowers
When I traveled,
I didn’t see any orchids.
I didn’t see
Any flowers
When I came to visit,
All I saw was blood.

It seems a circle of pain and heartache ... a very powerful song of an unending tragedy.

I'm hoping that soon you can partake of the flower's beauty.

I saw a bruised and battered woman. I guess we all see things with a different eye. Sad but excellent write.
This is sad: a graveyard? That's the impression I got, reading this, where you were taking me. A keen poignancy in your words. Exellent.
