Forgotten How to Inhale

I’ve forgotten
How to exhale
Relived breathing,
And, forgot to breath.
I’ve begotten
Me.
This current composition book
Has a black colored cover. Usually,
I choose what color
I am next. I’d not minded, much,
The limited blank pages covered
With old thoughts of ‘rest’,
Until it signed its own death.
I don’t mind. I’m dark-different
Than I used to be. I’m a figment
Of cheap composition books. My one
Local grocery store doesn’t have
Yellow composition book covers. I
Wonder why, yellow is a happy color,
Unresigned unto death.
I’ve begotten
Me.
I’ve forgotten
How to inhale
Living breath,
And, I am pissed!

You don't hold back: you spill your heart onto the pages, and I am made grateful to have read your words. Honest. Painful. Sad to read...hope you are well. You're in my thoughts--
