Lo, the moth
Who placid sat
Too long upon
The doorjamb flat.
For, once the door
Was shut against
The night, the moth
Was flattened,
Unto death, by fright.
Poor moth! Anything to get to the light, willing to risk body and wing, getting flattened - such is life. Knocks us flat, too - an excellent write, Erin.
