If I were plankton
I’d survive
By the narrowest of margins.
(i feel the rippling
Current of doom set in)
I don’t understand why
There isn’t birth control
For men! Not marginally;
Conceivably,
In reality.
(everything feeds
On eggs, or, life, again)
If I were a human
I’d survive,
By an understanding margin.
(feel the struggling
awaring plankton blooms?)
I don’t remember
‘x’s ago, living now,
Surviving by last margins…
(if i made it, so what
it keeps repeating…)
‘til Its All dead.
By proxy. By poetry.
But, not by survivorhood.
