Heart

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

The Home
is where the
Phone is, anywhere,
everywhere, anymore.

Except soul-placed.
I’d give my gut

for a solar plexus
Of worth. Home dies each
Year. A Mother, A younger Sister,
anymore, I’d like to be with them.

The Hearth
Is fading, whatever; Whatever?

I think Anymore
involves flexibility.
Like an egg’s fragile form,
curved for everything,

The heart,
I mean. Wasn’t talking about the mind…

I think the older we get the more we learn to accept the inevidabiliy of death, we also learn to understand that there may well be a better place and we will be reunited so great capture

Erin,

Hope you're okay ... worries me that you would want to join your mother and sister. :( Your heart, broken, it seems -

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
